What to do with your fish

We will provide you with a block  of ice. Place them in your cooler ASAP, and keep them iced, they will keep this way for a few days.  When you get home you should cook them that day or the next or you should freeze them.

• 24 hour fishing licenses are available for purchase at the dock for $9.50. (we can not sell trout stamps or seasonal licenses)

• Expert advice and guidance

• Free fish filleting and transportation bagging, gutting and gilling is $10 extra per fish. (Gutting and gilling is removing the guts and gills but leaving the fish whole. It takes a bunch of time and is not the proper way to store or cook fish, so I am attempting to convince people not to request that style of fish cleaning by charging $10 per fish. I will fillet as many fish as necessary for free.)

What to Bring

• Current Minnesota fishing license and trout stamp. On 24 hour licenses and for persons age 65 & over no trout stamp is required.  Click here to purchase your license on line (MN DNR)

• Soft soled shoes

• Bring Warm Clothing, it can get very cold quickly.

• Food and your beverage of choice.  

• Camera, sunglasses, sunscreen.

• Cooler to transport your fish home.

• A calm sunny day.

•  A boat that is clean and properly maintained.

• The boat and crew will be ready, and on time.

• Tips will not be solicited (they are appreciated if offered)

• The captain will do everything possible to catch fish and make your trip enjoyable

Please Note

Do not bring anything illegal on board. We also do not allow Sunflower seeds or any nut in a shell.  Children under 8 years old are welcome to come along, but depending on the child, they may be to young to successfully participate in the fishing action. No bananas.
