A Lake Superior sunrise can
be warm and welcoming, however the lakes weather is constantly changing.
We will not cancel due to rain or fog, it is wind from the east can
cause high seas that occasionally
prevent charters from fishing on the lake.
East winds of
13 mph or more can make fishing uncomfortable, especially
in the spring when air and water temps are cold. This is because waves
have 350+ miles to build coming down the lake.
What is unsafe or to rough
to fish, depends upon other variables as well.
Forecasts are
generally not reliable enough to know until the day of your charter
whether or not it will
be fishable. This is the chance you take when scheduling a weather
related sporting event. If you have weather questions, please call. 218-348-BOAT
(2628)
If the east winds are present another option
in May or June is to fish in the harbor for
Walleye, Northern pike, and Muskie.
